چکیده

Abstract The present work aims to produce Ti x Cu 100-x ( = 90, 80, 70, and 60) amorphous alloys by using high energy ball mill. microstructure possible formation of phases were characterized employing laser granulometry, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD). amorphous-crystalline transformation at temperatures was studied according differential calorimetry (DSC) XRD. 80 20 obtained in an state after 30 h mechanical alloying, the phase is stable up 340 °C. At higher temperatures, this alloy crystallizes, forming intermetallic compound 2 Cu, a substitutional solid solution Ti(Cu).

The influence of aluminum, within the range of 0.08 - 6.16 wt.%, on the microstructure and hardness of as-cast ductile cast iron has been studied. A number of irons of different composition have been made by green sand casting and gravity die casting of appropriate design to provide the experimental materials. It has been found that Al addition and higher cooling rates in permanent mould castin...

Microstructure, Hardness Evolution, and Thermal Stability Mechanism of Mechanical Alloyed Cu-Nb Alloy during Heat Treatment

The microstructure, hardness evolution, and thermal stability of mechanically alloyed (MA-ed) nanocrystalline Cu–10 wt %Nb solid solution during heat treatment were examined using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), high-resolution TEM (HRTEM) observations, and microhardness measurement. It is found that the pronounced precipitati...

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Mechanically Hard SiCx:H Films in Amorphous Phase

Amorphous hydrogenated silicon carbide (a-SiCx:H) films were deposited onto Si substrates by using the decomposition reaction of tetramethylsilane with the microwave discharged products of Ar. The contamination of H2O molecules was avoided by passing the starting materials through a desiccant (P2O5). A negative bias voltage (VRF = 0-100 V) was applied to the substrate by using an external radi...
